Description


The sessions in this course outline the objectives and the recommended structure of delivering general forestry practice key objectives. The course is designed to lead the delegates through the performance criteria which is based on the UK Forestry Standard Guidelines, General Forestry Practice. Delegates will gain an understand of the key principles of general forestry practice for general compliance; forest protection; environmental impact; plant health and biosecurity; forest reproductive material; forest planning; operational and contingency plans, forest planning process; forest management plans; forest productivity; forest structure; silviculture; felling and restocking; mammal damage; pests and diseases; use of chemicals; fencing; forest roads and quarries; harvesting operations.
